Thomas Pieters vows to give it his all on Sunday

Thomas Pieters vowed to give it his all on Sunday after a spotless 66 left him just two shots back ahead of the final round of the 2022 Cazoo Open de France.

The talented Belgian carded five birdies and no bogeys on Moving Day to get to ten under par, cutting his ten-shot deficit at the halfway stage to two.

The six-time DP World Tour winner is looking to make the most of his opportunity in the final round but knows leader Rasmus Højgaard will be a difficult man to beat.

Dane Højgaard had gone into the third round with a mammoth six-stroke lead but gave away all six shots in his first three holes before fighting back to lead by one.

Pieters, who has made just one bogey all week so far, said: "To have one bogey in three rounds, I'm pretty happy with that.

"I'm going to give it my all tomorrow. I didn't think I would be in this position - obviously being ten back starting Saturday.

"I thought after six holes there was a typo on the scoreboard because Rasmus was nine under.

"He's obviously playing really well because if you recover from that, and you're still leading a golf tournament, I'm pretty impressed with that."
