The Italian triumphed at the Memorial Giorgio Bordoni in May, before back-to-back victories at the Alps de Las Castillas and Roma Alps Open followed in July. The 22-year-old finished sixth at the Emilia Romagna Grand Final, the Alps Tour season finale, to cement his position at the top of the Rankings.

De Leo will be joined on the Challenge Tour in 2023 by fellow Alps Tour graduates Julien Sale and Tom Vaillant of France, Italian Stefano Mazzoli and Dutchman Vince Van Veen.

Sale impressed with four runner up finishes on his way to finishing second on the Order of Merit, while Vaillant won back-to-back events in June to finish third on the Rankings.
