Laurie enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2020 finishing 19th in the Race to Dubai thanks to 5 Top 10 performances including two well-fought runner up finishes at the Portugal Masters and the Italian Open.

Born in Bath, Laurie is a devoted Bath Rugby supporter and all-round sports fan.

Having only taken up golf at the age of 13, Laurie went on to win the South African Amateur Championship in 2010, a trip he saved up for by working at the nine-hole course across the road from his home. After winning the 2011 Spanish Amateur Open Championship he decided to turn professional.

Laurie earned his European Tour card from Qualifying School in three consecutive seasons – 2015, 2016 and 2017.
