Dan Bradbury is the guest for the final episode of the Life on Tour podcast in 2022 as he reflects on his life-changing victory at the Joburg Open.
Last month, in just his third ever start on the DP World Tour, Bradbury achieved the unthinkable by turning a sponsor’s invite into a stunning wire-to-wire victory at Houghton Golf Club.
The 23-year-old, who only turned professional in the summer, sealed a fairy tale win in front of his mother to go from having no status worldwide to holding a two-year exemption on Tour.
Not only that, but he also secured his spot at next year’s Open Championship at Royal Liverpool Golf Club.
This was all achieved a few months after missing out on stage two of the DP World Tour Qualifying School.
In the company of host Ewan Porter, Bradbury discusses his formative years as a golfer in Yorkshire, accepting a scholarship in Tennessee, in the USA, his subsequent move to Florida State University and his hopes of emulating the success enjoyed by Thriston Lawrence this year.
