ISPS HANDA and the European Tour showcase the desire to inspire, motivate and create opportunity for disability golf during the UK Swing
The Power of Sport and its ability to inspire has never been more apparent than during the ISPS HANDA UK Championship, where disabled golfer Brendan Lawlor made his European Tour debut.
Lawlor became the first professional disabled golfer in history to compete in a Tour event, but for him the opportunity was less about personal performance and far more about showcasing the game’s biggest benefit: That there is no barrier to inclusivity in golf.
That belief is embodied by ISPS HANDA and Dr. Handa, who is a huge supporter and believer that sport can improve people’s lives.
Our latest video, which features Lawlor, European Tour Chief Executive Keith Pelley, and ISPS HANDA ambassadors Mike Tindall, Tony Abbott and Peter Phillips, underpins the importance of inspiring and creating opportunity in golf, regardless of disability.
ISPS HANDA continued their support for and long-time association with the European Tour as Official Partner of the UK Swing and title sponsor of both the ISPS HANDA Wales Open and ISPS HANDA UK Championship last week.
The partnership perfectly aligns with the UK Swing’s ‘Golf for Good’ initiative, a narrative that will underpin the season and one that strongly resonates with ISPS HANDA’s long term belief in the power of sport to unite communities and inspire hope.
