Christiaan Bezuidenhout has been voted the European Tour’s Golfer of the Month
Christiaan Bezuidenhout won the December award with 64% of the vote after winning the South African Open in his homeland. Coming off a victory at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, Bezuidenhout shot four rounds in the 60s across the famous Gary Player Country Club layout to win by three shots.
Englishman Matthew Fitzpatrick came in second after winning the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai, to add to the title he won across The Earth Course in 2016. Starting Sunday in the final group in what was a very congested leaderboard, Fitzpatrick opened up with four straight birdies and never looked back. His win also catapulted him to second in the Race to Dubai rankings.
Antoine Rozner rounded off the voting as he picked up his maiden European Tour victory at the inaugural Golf in Dubai Championship presented by DP World. Played across The Fire Course, sister of the The Earth at Jumeriah Golf Estates, Rozner fired a final round 64 to win by two strokes.
